My stay at Melia in Lisbon exceeded expectations. The location near the Expo site made exploring the city easy. While the elevators were occasionally crowded, the delightful breakfast options and attentive staff greatly enhanced my experience. I'll certainly return for more!

Great location next to Oriente train station.
Our room wasn't what we booked. we expected a king bed but got twins instead. It was uncomfortable for our group, making it hard to sleep well. Additionally, the elevators were always crowded, especially during peak times, which made getting to our room frustrating.

Had an amazing time with friends. We hit up some epic beaches, played beach volleyball and soaked in the sun. The location is perfect, right next to a major shopping center and the train station, making it easy to explore. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with a variety of options to kickstart your day.
One downside was the wait for the elevators. With only two lifts for the whole hotel, it could take a while, especially if you're on a higher floor with luggage.

Delicious breakfast options each morning.
The breakfast area was overcrowded at peak times.

Central location near the train station makes getting around a breeze, and the nearby shopping area offers plenty of options. The room had a fantastic view and featured quality accommodations that provided a solid base for exploring the area.
The parking lot is a nightmare. tight spaces and difficult access make it a hassle. Breakfast was overcrowded and poorly organized, leading to long waits just to find a place to eat. With only two elevators servicing all the floors, prepare for delays getting up and down. The bathrooms lacked proper ventilation, contributing to an uncomfortable experience, especially at peak times. Soundproofing is lacking, making it easy to hear noises from neighboring rooms, which can be disruptive during your stay.

Stunning views of the river and Expo area, modern architectural surroundings, luxury toiletries provided
Long check-in times!!! The elevators are incredibly inefficient, creating chaos in busy periods. The online check-in system is buggy, leading to unnecessary delays!!! Overall maintenance could definitely use some attention to match the hotel’s reputation!!!

Great Location but Improvements Needed
The hotel's proximity to the train station was a major plus for me. I especially enjoyed the nearby riverside cafes for affordable meals with beautiful views. However, the room temperature control was underwhelming. I'd recommend requesting a room away from the train tracks for a quieter experience.
